BMW 3 Series LWB revealed ahead of Beijing Auto Show

BMW will head to Beijing Auto Show with a host of Asian premier model, including the world debut of the long wheelbase version of the new BMW 3 Series. Other model destined to be showcased at Beijing Auto Show include BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, BMW M6 Coupe, BMW X3 xDrive28i, updated BMW X6 and BMW i3 Concept.

The extended wheelbase version of the F30 sports 110mm extension to its wheelbase, bringing it to 2,920mm. The length of the car has been increased by exactly similar amount, totalling 4,734mm. Direct proportioning means that the car has simply been extended by lengthening the floor. The added length entirely went to the rear legroom, and the rear door is visibly longer, a visible cue that is complemented by different chrome garnish  surrounding the side glass. More details after the jump.
The F30 is simply designed to cater the demanding chauffeur driven owner. The extended wheelbase lends in some 90mm additional knee room for rear occupants. Additionally, the comfort of the rear passenger is further enhanced by the rear  armrest that comes with integrated compartment and two cup holders, two illuminated vanity mirrors folding out of the roof liner and BMW Individual reading lights. Also fitted in the rear are ashtrays integrated in the door trim panels and a switch unit that can adjust the front passenger seat. The F30 LWB is also fitted with a lighting package, including ambient light, and roller sun blinds that are opened and closed electrically on the rear window and mechanically on the side windows.
The car comes with all-gasoline engine line-up at the moment, comprising of 320Li and 328Li powered by the turbocharged N20 in "20i" and "28i" power guise and a range topper of 335Li powered by the venerable TwinPower Turbo 3.0L. All model comes standard with the 8 speed automatic transmission.

As with the rest of F30 range, the LWB F30 can be trimmed in Modern, Luxury and Sports Line. The car will roll of BMW production line in Shenyang and will probably remain China-exclusive model. Small gallery of the BMW 3 Series LWB can be found below:
