The svelte looking VW Passat CC has received its mid-life update after being four years in the market. The pseudo-coupe gets a host of exterior and interior update to bring it in-line with more recent VW offering's design language. The front end has lost the V-shaped middle section and teardrop headlight and in comes the more formal headlamp with LED, and more elegant looking front bumper that is flatter. The elegant touch continues with the slice of chrome around the fog lamp. Hood has been flattened as it losses the central character spine.
At the back, the rear light loses the teardrop shape like the front unit, where the base of outer section is now flat bottom, giving an impression of the car appear wider. This is further accentuates by the horizontal graphic inside the taillamp housing. The rear bumper has been redesigned too.
For the interior, the facelifted Passat CC gets a refreshed aircon panel design and a selection of new trimmings. Aircon vent now also has chrome lining. VW has also added fatigue detection system and active head restraint for additional safety.
The car is due to be on sale in Germany in February 2012, with the rest of European market following suit shortly after.
