First photo of Jaguar F Type interior - gallery inside

We have seen the complete exterior view of Jaguar F Type a couple of days ago together with a glimpse of the interior. Ahead of Paris Motorshow opening tomorrow, the jigsaw has been completed with a full view of Jaguar F Type interior.
The interior draws heavily from the Jaguar C-X16 Concept right down to the door trim and door inside handle design. The dashboard also features the passenger grab handle than runs melded into the gear console. It is very clear that C-X16 Concept is indeed the new F Type is disguise, and presented with the showcar loud red leather, alcantra trimmings and carbon fibre decoration. Get rid of all that, and this is what you get. Thus, we reckon that it is very safe to assume that the Coupe version of the F Type will remain faithful to the earlier concept.

The interior photos made their way into the internet together with additional exterior shots. No word is worthwhile to describe the sensational styling. We also got to see how the fabric look like when it is deployed. Read on......

Evocative Jaguar F-Type photo leaked ahead of Paris debut

Just days before the Paris Motorshow opens its door, more photos of the Jaguar F-Type were leaked into the internet. Jaguar has responded to the previous leak by releasing the front view of the car, and now the rest of the photos has made their way into the net.
While the front end of the car is fairly well known recently, the new shots show that the rear end of the car stays faithful to the Jaguar C-X16 Concept. The E-Type inspired butt is nothing like the low and sleek of its legendary forebear, but carries the same design concept into the short and stubby tail.
We also got to see the interior for the first time, which, like the rear end, has a heavy C-X16 cues carried over unscathed. There is a proper gear lever instead of the rotary dial, and like the rest of Jaguar range, features the innovative aircond outlet duct. Where the duct swivel on the XF, it pops up this time around.
Jaguar F-Type is set to be one of the most beautiful Jaguar ever. It carries the retro element of the legendary Jaguar and blends it with the modern surfacing the recent Jaguar is known for. In the market, the car will compete with the likes of Porsche Boxster and Cayman. The car is set to be powered by a 3.0L V6 supercharged and 5.0L V8 supercharged and both are expected to channel the drive to the rear wheel via an 8 speed automatic gearbox.

Paris will open its curtain this Thursday so stay tune. For the rest of the leaked photo, head after the jump.

Paris Motorshow debut for Jaguar F-Type

The F-TYPE, Jaguar’s all-new aluminium two-seater sports car, will make its global debut in production form at the Paris Motor Show on 27th September. The F-TYPE will be launched as a convertible with a choice of three petrol engines: 340PS and 380PS versions of Jaguar’s all-new 3.0-litre supercharged V6, and a new derivative of its existing supercharged 5.0-litre V8. All will drive the rear wheels through an eight-speed transmission and will be equipped with Stop/Start technology.

Following the F-TYPE’s ‘camouflaged’ public drive at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June of this year, testing of the final verification prototypes has continued in some of the harshest environments in the world. The new F-Type will carry a strong cue previewed by the Jaguar C-X16 Concept.

As its name suggests, this test programme is designed to verify the staggering amount of design work that was carried out by Jaguar’s engineers in the ‘virtual world’, a process in which the company is an industry leader.

More than half-a-million separate F-TYPE design analyses were carried out comprising 10-million CPU hours of processing, creating more than 300TB of data. Had that same amount of initial design analysis been completed on physical cars, the number of prototype F-TYPEs built would have filled the majority of the UK’s motorway network bumper-to-bumper.

The result of all that ‘virtual’ design work is that Jaguar’s engineers are currently concentrating on honing the performance of the physical verification prototypes, to ensure the production F-TYPE delivers truly focused sports car driving reward.
