Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show
2013 (KLIMS13), has taken flight with AirAsia with the appointment of the
latter as the show’s “Official Airline”. KLIMS13. The
KLIMS13 “Official Airline” tie-up with AirAsia has brought together two
exciting entities for the automotive scene. KLIMS13 is the most keenly anticipated
motor show in Malaysia which happens once every three years and AirAsia has
recently won the World’s Best Low Cost Airline for the fifth year in a row
awarded by Skytrax. The collaboration is
set to bring the anticipation for KLIMS13 up another notch.
AirAsia
will be promoting Malaysia’s motor show to travellers around the region by
running a KLIMS13 low fare promotion for a specific travel period coinciding
with the show dates. The offer will be extended to those who book their flights
with AirAsia to travel for routes connecting Kuala Lumpur with Singapore,
Thailand and Indonesia.
The
partnership deal with AirAsia as the “Official Airline” for KLIMS13 will give
motoring enthusiasts more reasons to visit the motor show. AirAsia is
sponsoring free air tickets for lucky visitors to KLIMS13. Those who purchase
tickets to visit KLIMS13 will get the chance to win free return flights between
Kuala Lumpur and its neighbouring countries. AirAsia is also sponsoring the flights for the
region’s media members across South East Asia in their journalistic trips to
cover KLIMS13.
Kenny
Wong, Commercial Director of AirAsia Berhad added “We are pleased to support
the most significant event in Malaysia for the global motoring industry players
and the event with the largest gathering of motoring fans in Malaysia. AirAsia strives
to make flying even more enjoyable and affordable for everyone, therefore we
are proud to be part of KLIMS13 which is about bringing excitement to
technology and designs that makes travelling enjoyable.”
Mak
Weng Kit, CEO of Interexpo (M) Sdn Bhd and show manager of KLIMS13 commented
“We are pleased to have AirAsia on board as the “Official Airline” for KLIMS13.
Their support is instrumental in promoting KLIMS13 in the region. We will be
launching a wide spread campaign with AirAsia to promote the country’s motor
show via their extensive sales channels and regional offices.”
KLIMS will open its door to visitor from 15 November until 24 November 2013. Expect great showcase from the local player, and in fact Perodua has announced its intention to exhibit a show car (hopefully not a sci-fi like the Bezza in 2010). If you are not in vicinity, be sure to surf Air Asia sites to get the ticket in tandem with the announced tie-up.
